Its focus is on imparting the importance of life-long learning and developing the set of key skills which support students in their career planning activities into the future.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Skills developed through PDP<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Self-appraisal and reflection &#8211; students reflect upon and develop a profile of their own skills, values and interests developed through their academic curriculum and broader experiences including co- and extra- curricular activities. This is an opportunity for students to reflect on a range of graduate attributes that support academic performance and career development.<\/li><li>Research \u2013 understanding how to identify opportunities for employment and further study, and identifying the support required to achieve goals<\/li><li>Decision making &#8211; identifying personal priorities and constraints and integrating self-assessment with the options available.<\/li><li>Goal setting and action planning &#8211; writing and implementing an action plan. Communicating effectively orally and in writing to achieve objectives.
